Exporting literally opens up a world of opportunity for NZ companies, however, very often they are just not export ready. This programme is focused on Risk identification and Management. It commences with an introduction to sales contracts; agencies, and distributors, before asking you to consider the risks: of political risk; exchange risk; credit risk, and jurisdictional risk.
The programme uses two case studies and introduces the participant to the mitigation of risk through the use of Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange products.
In order to do this it uses a glossary of terms dealing with: Trade Finance Principles; FX basics, and Incoterms. We also introduce the two principle Trade Finance export
Products: Documentary Collections, and the negotiation of Documentary Letters of Credit
Participant Materials: A 90 page colour version of the Power point presentation with room for notes and a word document of the key areas will be provided for participants. Also full copies of the Uniform Rules for Collection and the Uniform Code of Practice for Collections and Documentary Letters of Credit will be provided, as will, Collections templates, a Bills template, and a working capital exercise
The programme is 1 day in length and costs $1,500 + GST per person; Group rates can be negotiated for 6 or more participants.
